The kittens belong to the Selkirk Rex breed. The breed is considered relatively young, the history began in the late eighties. Kittens get the curly hair gene from both parents.
The man bred Persian cats of different colors. The new cat was named Miss de Pesto. Eleonora Muccio from Switzerland saw the Selkirk Rex for the first time at a cat show in Geneva.
