Have you ever seen a house built on water? The couple built such houses, the exterior and interior of which are simply wonderful

For many years, a Canadian couple dreamed of having their own home in nature. They lived in the city and felt uncomfortable in the stone jungle.

Katherine was a dancer and her husband Wayne a sculptor. Two creative natures wanted peace and harmony. But art is not always a source of stable income.

No matter how hard the couple tried, they could not afford to buy their own house. And then they decided: if something cannot be bought, then it can be done with your own hands.

Katherine and Wayne moved out of town and spent 24 years building their dream home together.

They built it on the water! Ingenious spouses took most of the materials, furniture, decor items from people who considered it all rubbish.

Now they have not only a house, but also a dance studio, a lighthouse, four greenhouses where fruits and vegetables grow all year round.

In his free time, Wayne fishes right next to his house. The house is based on twelve panels that the man built himself.

The family receives electricity thanks to solar panels, and water is taken from a nearby waterfall. On their beautiful self-built island,

Katherine and Wayne raised two children who now live their lives away from home but always enjoy visiting their parents.

The floating house is a real man-made masterpiece and once again proves that human thought has no boundaries.

Wayne and Katherine call this place “Freedom Cove” and consider it the best place on earth.

The couple settled here 29 years ago, after several years in the city. Now they will never go back and plan to live in harmony with each other and nature for the rest of their lives.

The couple very rarely leaves their house. The nearest settlement is 25 minutes from their island.

They built floating greenhouses and took up gardening. Katherine grows vegetables in 4 greenhouses. All plants were germinated from seeds right on the island.

The woman makes fertilizers herself, from seaweed. Wayne spends his free time reading or fishing, while Katherine dances, plays musical instruments and paints.

The spouses have almost no guestsь. Herons, crows and fur seals sometimes visit them. Recently, the spouses are often visited by journalists.

The hosts are always hospitable, but they do not like to have long conversations.
