The clouded leopard is one of the most beautiful representatives of the cat family. Due to their unusual color, these animals were subjected to merciless destruction for a long time and were on the verge of complete extinction. Currently, the hunting of clouded leopard is prohibited worldwide.
In zoos where these animals are kept, work is underway to breed them in order to replenish the fading population. Two clouded leopard cubs were born at Point Defiance Zoo & Aquarium.
