We’ve heard a lot of Pentatonix hits over the years, from love songs, to sad melodies, to upbeat Christmas songs, they’re all really good! However, songs from the past have nothing to do with this rendition of “Dancing On My Own,” which was originally sung by Robyn. This impeccably talented foursome got 100,000 views on this song when not even an hour had passed since it was posted online! This song obviously means a lot to all Pentatonix members. They posted the video online with a thank you note.
They expressed their excitement by sharing it with the world. “We just want to thank you all for your love and support, it means a lot to all of us. ‘Dancing On My Own’ is one of our favorite songs (by Robyn, who is one of our favorite artists). We are very proud to share it with you, we hope you love it as much as we do and we are excited to share some new music.” In less than an hour since this video was posted on YouTube, more than 100,000 followers had seen it. It is clear that this group reaches the hearts of their fans.
As beautiful as this rendition is (as are all of their other songs), it’s hard not to think about what it would be like if Avi Kaplan was still in the band. But there’s no denying that the current members give it their all at all times! In fact, they are spending the summer traveling across the country performing at state fairs and festivals. All of his upcoming concerts are sold out. After months of staying relatively in the shadows, the four remaining members are happy to release their version of “Dancing On My Own.” They are finally making music together again, albeit with one less member now.
