Eleonora Costa, just 11 years old, offers free English classes to underprivileged children and teenagers in the garage of a social institution in the city of Franca. The initiative came from Eleonora herself when she was nine years old and started on the internet. Through short videos, the girl gave tips on how to get a good pronunciation of the language taught. Feeling like being closer to the students, Eleonora became a ‘mini teacher’ at the institution that offers activities related to art, culture and sport in Jardim Aeroporto. The passion for the language and the art of teaching were inherited from his mother. Juliana Costa, Eleonora’s mother, is also an English teacher and was one of those responsible for her daughter’s literacy training and her interest in teaching. The pen and the blackboard are part of the girl’s routine and every Monday she is committed to passing on her knowledge. In addition to classes and videos on social media, Eleonora has also published her own book.
The book has already sold more than 300 units and is aimed at students who are starting to study English. Berteli.
